WHAT A MASTERMIND!!!!

Dorian has changed from innocent to just plain evil! I thought he would be a nice a guy who lives in an ordinary town and finds a painting of himself. But, I was wrong, as usual. He's a mastermind behind Basil's murder!

In this chapter, he writes a letter to a man to come over to his house. His name is Alan Campbell and he's a scientist and was once friends with Dorian. The reason why he asks him to come over to his house is because he thinks he can use scientific brain to get rid of Basil's corpse. I didn't expect Dorian to concoct a plan like that! But since they were once friends, he said no. I would say the same thing to if I had to be part of post-murder's plan. Since he wouldn't help him, he black-mailed him! But I wonder what he black mailed? Anyways, he said yes and he was going to get his scientist things, but Dorian sent one of his servants to get his stuff. I wonder why Wilde turned Dorian to a complex character? But I guess because it makes the tone and the book more interesting.

After his servant got Alan's stuff, since it was a big chest, Alan had to carry it from the 1st floor, to all the top of the house! So Dorian went first, so he can open the door. The first he noticed was that his painting was uncovered and it changed more! Example: (paragraph 3-4, pg 185)

What was that loathsome red dew that gleamed, wet and glistening, on one of the hands, as though the canvas had sweated blood? How horrible it was!--more horrible, it seemed to him for the moment, than the silent thing that he knew was stretched across the table, the thing whose grotesque misshapen shadow on the spotted carpet showed him that it had not stirred, but was still there, as he had left it.

He heaved a deep breath, opened the door a little wider, and with half-closed eyes and averted head, walked quickly in, determined that he would not look even once upon the dead man. Then, stooping down and taking up the gold-and-purple hanging, he flung it right over the picture.

So, right before he came, he covered because he doesn't want no one to see his ugliness in the painting. As soon as he covered it, he left the room and was waiting for Alan. As soon as he step into the room, he locked it went to work. But I can't believe he locked him self in a room with a dead man! I would've cried to death!

It took him 5 hours to get rid of the body! But I wonder what he did. As soon as he came down, he said Dorian, "And now good-bye. Let us never see each other again". (lines 2-3,pg 186) But Dorian really surprised me in this chapter.
